MANILA, Philippines (Xinhua) - Budget carrier Cebu Pacific is increasing flights to several international destinations in the next few months on back of the growing travel demand in the East Asian region.
"With our increased frequencies, guests have more opportunities to travel to and from various destinations across Asia," Cebu Pacific Vice-President for Marketing Candice Iyog said in a statement issued Monday.
From four times a week, the company plans to fly once a day to Ho Chi Minh. Flights to Jakarta will increase from the current three to four times a week. Manila to Kuala Lumpur service will be bumped up to 10 times a week from the current daily service, while flights between Manila and Brunei will increase to thrice a week from two times.
The airline will include more flights from Manila to Singapore. From the current 25 flights a week, Cebu Pacific will fly 32 times a week to Singapore by mid-December.
By the first quarter of 2011, Cebu Pacific plans to double its flights to twice daily to Seoul from Manila, while its Manila to Bangkok service will increase to 10 times weekly from the current seven.
Flights to select domestic destinations will also be increased.
Cebu Pacific operates flights to 33 domestic and 16 international destinations.
